HISTORY:
Brown Plumbing and Heating Co. was originally founded in 1920 by J. M. Brown,
Sr.  The company operated under the leadership of Mr. Brown until his death in
1944. At that time, Mrs. J. M. Brown and her brother, W. E. Stuckey took over
the management of the company. Upon Mr. Stuckey's death in 1960, the founder's
son, J. M. Brown, Jr. and son-in-law, L. F. Pierce, Sr. assumed management of the
firm.

In 1965, the name of the company was changed to it's present form, Brown
Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in order to more clearly define the company's role in
commercial, institutional, industrial and government construction.

L. F. (Chip) Pierce, Jr. replaced his father as president upon Mr. Pierce's
retirement in 1983.  J. M. Brown, Jr.'s daughter Debby Brittain continues to work
as office manager.  Chip Pierce's daughter Leigh Ann Speake joined the
management team in 2002.

With an experienced group of professionals, the company continues with a history
of completing many challenging and complex mechanical projects.

Brown Mechanical Contractors is strongly committed to quality construction and a
safe working environment. Management's objective is simply to be the best
mechanical contractor in the industry. Together with an exceptional team of field
supervisors, the company takes pride in a tradition of satisfying its clients' desires
and anticipating their needs for the future.
